The Lakelands are a collection of islands, peninsulas, rivers and lakes that intertwine into a harmonious continent filled with aquatic wonder… and danger. This region is the most fertile in the world, with vegetation sprouting out of the earth almost effortlessly thanks to the plentiful nutrients brought about by its various rivers and frequent rains. In the Southwest part of the continent lie the Turyl Peaks, wherein resides Tuup, Divine Dragon of Water. But he isn’t often home, for he prefers to immerse himself in the countless aquatic bodies of the Lakelands.
There used to be two civilizations living in this continent - elves and dwarves, but the latter went extinct mysteriously. The ancient and proud elven civilization remains, with their main cities and forts to the west of the continent, and a few outposts to the east. These were built at the time when war with the dwarves was a looming threat. Today, they are threatened only by the mysterious creatures creeping around in the dwarven ruins.
